The feed loads, but the list is empty
Your SwiftUI view looks right, yet nothing shows up. Argent shows the agent if the feed request failed on the iOS simulator, so it stops rewriting a view that was never broken.

You turned on external agents in Xcode's Intelligence settings. Now your agent builds your scheme, renders previews, edits build settings and reads crash reports from the field.
Argent works on the running app. It shows the agent which of your app's requests failed in the simulator, profiles the screen that stutters and saves a working path as a test. It doesn't need Xcode to be open.
Based on Apple's documentation and Argent's documentation, checked October 20, 2026.
Xcode MCP is Apple's own integration, included with Xcode at no cost, and it covers a lot of native Swift work that Argent does not touch. For these jobs it can be a better fit.
Xcode MCP builds the active scheme and reads build logs and the Issue Navigator. It can also switch schemes and run destinations, and run tests from your scheme or test plan. Argent has no build tool of its own.
The agent can render SwiftUI previews from source files, including variants and localization overrides, without launching the full app.
Xcode MCP lists your app's top crashes and field performance issues from Apple's reporting, with logs and triage guidance.

Xcode MCP shows what already hurt your users. Argent profiles your branch on the simulator and tells the agent what to fix, then checks again.
Xcode MCP can't reach Android. Argent drives Android emulators and devices too, and Android work runs on Linux and Windows.
For React Native screens, Argent can also read the console, run code in the app and show the component tree.
“Argent is so good, well done team.”
We are Software Mansion: we help our clients build software across mobile, web, and beyond, from native iOS and Android to cross-platform apps, open-source projects, and developer tools.
Xcode MCP works on your project inside Xcode: builds, previews, settings and tests. Argent works on the app once it runs.
| Feature | Argent | Xcode MCP |
|---|---|---|
| iOS | Simulators, plus physical iPhones over USB | Simulators and devices, through Xcode |
| Android | Emulators and physical devices over adb | Not included |
| Other platforms | Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Electron and Chromium apps | macOS, tvOS, watchOS and visionOS, through Xcode |
| Xcode builds | Not included. Argent drives any installed app, however it was built | Builds the scheme and reads build logs and issues |
| SwiftUI previews | Not included | Renders previews from source files, with variants and localization overrides |
| Driving the app | Taps, swipes, pinches, typing, hardware buttons and permissions on simulators, emulators and Android devices, with screenshots and the element tree on demand. Taps, typing and screenshots on physical iPhones | Touch, swipe, text, button and orientation events, returning a screenshot and UI hierarchy |
| Debugging | The native UIKit view tree on iOS simulators. No reading of native app logs | Console output, LLDB commands in Xcode's debug session and Swift snippets run in project context |
| Network inspection | Request URLs and status codes from your app on the iOS simulator, with no proxy or certificate. On Android, React Native apps only. Not in Flutter apps yet | Not included |
| Local profiling | Xcode Instruments on iOS: CPU hotspots and UI hangs, each with a severity and a suggestion. Perfetto on Android: UI freezes | Not included |
| Repeatable tests | Recorded YAML flows with optional screenshot checks, replayed by the agent or by argent e2e run in CI | XCUITest code the agent writes in Swift, run through your scheme or test plan |

Your agent can drive, debug and profile your iOS and Android apps on your machine, and test on hosted iOS simulators with Argent Cloud. Xcode MCP keeps the project; Argent gets the app.
